Be mine!

I love the new sign outside. Just in time for Valentine's Day.
I'm such a sap. I got engaged last year on the day. It's just up til the 14th of February, but a gentle reminder of my favorite conversation heart candies, and to spread the love!
Phillip helped me out. We drew the heart on plywood, transferred the copy to it, and painted away.

It's amazing what a bit of paint can do!

If you can't stop...

This is my favorite hand painted sign. It's at the base of a giant "Co-op" grain silo. Everytime I'm in Cherokee, Oklahoma I stop and use it as a photo opportunity. It's Dave's first time in this quiet area of the country. And the first of many more photos. Do you have a spot that you always stop and take a photo?

I looked up and saw...

Dave and I were downtown last week and just enjoying the day. I'm normally in my car, dashing from place to place. I looked up and saw this groovy sign. Trimfit has been around for 80 years, making some pretty cool socks. I'm thinking that the sign was painted that long ago, too. It's a nice bit of random art/advertising that made me smile. Here's the street map if you're in the neighborhood.
